ORLANDO, FL, May 21, 2009 — 3N2 and Angela Tincher, National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) All-Star and 2008 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, have come to terms on a multi-year endorsement deal.  Tincher, currently a pitcher with the Akron Racers, will compete exclusively in 3N2’s ACCELERATE line of fastpitch softball cleats. Specifically, Tincher will trial, test and promote 3N2’s much anticipated 2010 fastpitch cleat; the ACCELERATE w/ PROTO™ Pitching Toe.  She will also represent 3N2 at clinics, public appearances and in a wide range of 3N2 marketing materials.

“Its great to be associated with a brand that has a such a track record of supporting women's fastpitch,” Tincher said of 3N2. “Their association with National Pro Fastpitch was an important part of my decision to partner with them, as was their commitment to growing and improving the sport.”

Tincher, a three time All-American while at Virginia Tech, was selected third overall in the 2008 NPF draft by the Akron Racers. Tincher had a 12-11 record in her rookie campaign and led the league with 157 strikeouts in only 129.1 innings pitched.

Her performance landed her on the 2008 All-NPF team, just one of the many awards she has received in her short career. While at Virginia Tech, Tincher was three times named ACC Pitcher of the Year, and twice ACC tournament MVP. Her senior season was highlighted by her USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year honor and an ESPY nomination for Best Female Collegiate Athlete.

Tincher capped her college career by leading the Hokies to a runner-up finish in the Women’s College World Series. However, the most acclaimed moment of her college career was a no-hitter she tossed in a 1-0 exhibition win over the United States Olympic Softball Team. The outing ended team USA’s 185-game pre-Olympic exhibition game winning streak and landed Tincher an audition for the Olympic squad.  Although Tincher was not selected at the time, she will participate in an invitation-only tryout for the USA Women's National team this summer.
