Sterling Heights, Michigan – July 8 & 9, Liberty Park Of America

Sunrise Dental/Rock Financial went undefeated on the weekend finishing 6-0 on their way to capturing the Bat Wars USSSA Men’s Class “D” NIT Championship. Rochester Athletic Club/Easton finished in the runner-up slot with Seneca/SS Reemco/Linedrive/Malarke taking the third place honors. Rounding out the top five was Michigan Mush finishing fourth with JD’s Rage/Wardell Chiropractic and Eastowne Lounge/Michigan Bucks sharing the fifth place spot.
The series is sponsored by USSSA, Eastbay,  and Softball Magazine, with this stop's equipment sponsor being Louisville Slugger. Top finishing teams were awarded bat bags, t-shirts, fielding gloves, batting gloves and the new Louisville Slugger Nexus bats.
In conjunction with the Championship series there was also a men’s USSSA Class “B”/”C” NIT with teams playing for world berths. Plumbers & Pipefitters earned the championship after defeating Pole Position who finished in the runner-up slot. BK Sports/Adray finished third for the weekend with Cal’s Linedrive finishing in fourth place.
